To succeed in life, you need three things: a wishbone, a backbone and a funnybone.

9 Months

At 9 months Brooks is 16 pounds 6 oz! He gained two pounds in a month and we are so proud!

Brooks continues to discover more of the world every day. This month he is working hard on getting up on his knees. He can get on his knees, then on his hands, but can't seem to coordinate the two! He continues to scoot backwards though so he's getting around great!

This month Brooks started picking up some food to eat. He loves his puffs and really enjoys having the control to feed himself!

This month there was so much snow, it felt like every week we had a big snow day. One afternoon I was sitting with him looking out of the window when I saw it click for him and he truly discovered the snow. It was magical for him and so fun to watch. We sat at the window for half an hour with his face pressed up against the glass. Too bad it was in the 20's so he couldn't go play outside.

Brooks loves to play rough. It makes me nervous because I've never been one to rough house with a baby, but he LOVES it. He loves to be upside down and will throw his head backwards to let you know he's ready. He loves to do it over and over (until we have to cut him off for fear of spit up going everywhere).

We continue to be grateful for Brooks' happy disposition. He laughs when you laugh, and is always willing to give away smiles.
