To succeed in life, you need three things: a wishbone, a backbone and a funnybone.

Time Flies...

I have caught myself reminiscing so much lately back to that precious time in our life when Brooks joined our family. He has grown so much since then and is changing every single day. Thank goodness he still lets me cuddle and kiss him to my heart's content. We sure do love this boy. Don't grow up Brooksy Bear, stay little with us forever.

Triple B

Recently I took Brooks to South Carolina for his first trip to the South. If you know me, you know that I am a life long, die hard, beach bum. It was EXTREMELY important to me that my son get that gene. I mean come on, the kid looks nothing like me so can I at least have this?

Turns out, my dreams came true.

Triple B stands for Beach Bum Brooks.

You may be thinking wow that's a lot of pictures of Ashley with Brooks...I needed this moment documented thoroughly because it was a proud parenting moment. But there were some others present for the occasion so I could include them as well.

Brooks was happy as a clam in our laps and on his blanket. He sleeps to the sound of ocean waves every night from his noise machine, so he slept for a lot of the time. He did think it was a bit bright, as you can tell by the squinting pics, but that didn't get him down. I may have been a bit of a crazy mom, as he had on LOADS of sunscreen, a swim shirt, hat, and was under not one but TWO umbrellas for most of the time. Haha, can't damage that lily white skin!

We got to spend two weeks in South Carolina and had a great time visiting friends and family although we missed Daddy like crazy!

3 Months

Time is absolutely flying by. Brooksy Bear is 3 months old. He has developed the best personality and I love watching him figure out more and more about the world every day.

At three months Brooks weighs 12 lbs. 4 oz. and is 24 inches long. He is still a little guy for his age, but is healthy and extremely happy. He is the sweetest little boy on the planet. He has never met a stranger and loves to smile at everyone who stops to admire him. He loves to cuddle when he wakes up and it melts my heart. While he is super sweet, little man knows how to let you know when he needs something. He has started to do a mad little yell as opposed to crying all the time. If he's laying on his play mat and wants picked up, he will let out a little shout first. If you don't get there fast enough, then he lets loose. I love it.

If he's upset you can ALWAYS calm him down by holding him and bouncing. This is something that has been true of him since he was born. I think it has to do with the fact that while I was pregnant I sat on an exercise ball... A LOT. It really helped with hip pain. If you have ever sat on one you know it is virtually impossible to sit on one without bouncing, so I think I may have given my little boy a habit. Oops.

Brooks absolutely LOVES his pediatrician. Even though she has given him lots of shots, he adores her. She even got the first laugh out of him at his three month appointment. It was the best sound I've ever heard. I have yet to be able to get him to do it, although Dan has gotten one out of him since. I'm not jealous or anything...ok yes I am.

The little man's third year of life has been super busy. He has had lots of visitors. First Aunt Mary, Spring, Courtney, Preston, and Bryce came to visit. We had a blast running around the city and just visiting. Dan, Kelsey, and Jason Itri came into town as well. It was so nice to see our friends and have them meet our little man. Brooks is a true city baby and is super good in his stroller as we run around all over the place.

Alritey and now onto the 3 month photo dump!
